What is the best approach for you?

Litigation

Litigation is the traditional approach involving judges and court orders. Our goal is to protect and retain every asset through litigation based on our aggressive and diligent representation to protect your family and finances.

If litigation is your goal, we are ready and willing to assist in every aspect. Please contact our office to set up a consultation.

Agreements (Stipulations)

It is ideal for the parties to establish a mutual plan for their future. However, we understand that this is not always realistic. If the parties are able to agree, with or without our assistance, our team can then reduce your agreements to writing and navigate the court process effectively and efficiently on your behalf.

If the parties can come to an informal agreement but wish to avoid the legal hazards of drafting binding legal documents, this may be the right approach for you.

With this approach you will have the peace of mind from having a dedicated attorney in your corner, strong binding legal documentation and avoid the costs associated with adversarial litigation.

Please contact our office to further discuss your needs and what we can do to help.

Mediation

Through voluntary mediation, the parties will work with a neutral third party Mediator to identify the issues and discuss possible solutions. Our attorney will serve as Mediator and assist the parties to come to an agreement regarding parenting plans and financial issues. Our attorney will then reduce the agreement to a legal document for signing.

At Mediation, we can provide both parties with the applicable law and allow you to make decisions as to how you would like to proceed. When the parties are willing to negotiate in good faith, mediation can work to save thousands of dollars and reduce negative long term consequences in other approaches to resolution.

If your goal is to get court ordered resolution that is based on California law, without going to court, mediation is a great option for parties to explore.

If you believe voluntary mediation is the right approach for your situation, a private consultation is not possible, as neutrality must be maintained. Please contact our office to set up either a joint consultation or get information regarding scheduling mediation.
